Picture from the first part of Marvel's birthday celebrations!

The past weekend the staff and customers at Nostalgia & Comics held a celebration for the 70th birthday of the comics publisher Marvel.  This was also to unveil the great re-fit that the store has been undergoing for the last couple of weeks.  Below are some of the photographs taken on the day!

And please keep in mind that there will be another great celebration at the store before October this year!

The end of an era?

Apparently the Batman Returns poster that has adorned the Nostalgia & Comics wall for well over ten years is to be taken down and replaced with a white wall.

A lot of people think that this poster is a part of the store's personality and to take it down would be taking a chunk of the store with it (literally).

I suppose this could be seen as an online petition sort of thing as we want to know your feelings on this. Do you want the poster to stay/go/you're not bothered? Please let us know what you think and maybe we can stop this from happening!

Please note that the brilliant Nostalgia & Comics will be closed on Monday (08/06/09) for some refurbishment.
